Okeechobee Soil and Water Conservation District Local Working Group

The Okeechobee Soil and Water Conservation District will host the annual Local Work Group meeting in lieu of its monthly May 13th meeting remotely. Following Governor DeSantis’ directions in Executive Order 20-52 to reduce public gatherings and practice social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19, in-person attendance to the meeting will be limited.

Local farmers and ranchers in Okeechobee County are invited to participate in a workgroup with the Okeechobee Soil and Water Conservation District and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to identify resource concerns and the future direction of county conservation efforts.

For any members of the public who wish to call-in to listen to the meeting or provide public comment to the Soil and Water District, call-in at 1-866-899-4679, then enter access code 797-160-901. You will be able to hear the proceedings there. Please do not use speakerphone or put your phone on hold. Please be aware that your call will be muted automatically when you join the call-in number. During the conference call, the Chair will instruct the public when the time for public comment will be allowed. To unmute your line, please press *2 on your touch dial phone.
